EHS Manager

Job Summary:
The EHS Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a safe working environment within a chemical manufacturing facility. This role leads risk assessments, audits, training, and incident investigations to drive a culture of safety and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enforce EHS policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations; implement corrective actions.
  • Lead employee training programs on safety practices, hazardous materials handling, and emergency response.
  • Monitor environmental compliance, including air, water, and waste management.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and leadership teams to integrate EHS into daily operations.
  • Maintain records and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of EHS experience in a chemical or industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) preferred.
