Manager, Demand and Inventory Planning & Management

The Manager, Demand and Inventory Planning & Management oversees end-to-end inventory processes, including demand planning, forecasting, optimization, and replenishment across a large retail network across the United States. This role ensures inventory aligns with customer demand and financial goals by leveraging data, systems, and supplier partnerships. This organization is ideally targeting someone who is looking for an opportunity to bring their knowledge and make a difference in the organization. The position requires strong cross-functional collaboration with teams such as Merchandising, Marketing, IT, and Finance to build a scalable, high-performance inventory planning function that drives profitability and operational efficiency.

The Manager, Demand and Inventory Planning & Management will be responsible for the following:

  • Own and lead the end-to-end demand planning process across key categories
  • Lead monthly 3-way forecast collaboration sessions with key suppliers and distribution partners
  • Develop and execute inventory strategies to optimize service levels, inventory turns, and GMROI
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for inventory rebalancing, repositioning and returns to continually drive inventory efficiency
  • Leverage data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in demand patterns and inventory position
  • Partner closely with Category Managers, Merchandising, Finance, and Operations to align planning assumptions and timelines

The Manager, Demand and Inventory Planning & Management should have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics or a related field; MBA or APICS certification preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, and forecasting in a retail environment
  • Demonstrated expertise with forecasting tools and ERP systems (Oracle is a plus)
  • Strong analytical and Excel skills (must be comfortable presenting data)
  • Multi-site experience
  • Excellent communication, leadership and cross-functional collaboration

Location: Remote (East Coast preferred)

Salary: $100,000 - $115,000 plus bonus and stock options
