Main Function

  • Assist the Senior Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer with implementing and continuing development of site's E&I reliability program
  • Serve as the technical resource for site's E&I maintenance, troubleshooting, new equipment specification

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the Smart Plant Instrumentation (Intools) database
  • Develop and review preventive maintenance (PM) tasks for electrical and instrumentation systems
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) through corporate dashboards
  • Conduct root cause failure analyses on electrical and instrumentation systems
  • Evaluate and implement cost-effective, reliable technologies to meet operational needs
  • Research and apply best practices to improve asset reliability
  • Lead and support change initiatives through the Management of Change (MOC) process
  • Address audit findings and close programmatic gaps in E/I systems
  • Manage and execute electrical and instrumentation projects
  • Perform instrument calculations using tools such as Conval

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering
  • Work experience in chemical industry
  • Programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining process control - Distributed Control System (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of supervisory experience over E/I technicians in a manufacturing environment
