Manufacturing Engineer
DSJ Global is proud to partner with a leading innovator in the wire and cable manufacturing industry, seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in Kansas. This role offers high potential for growth and the opportunity to make a significant impact on manufacturing excellence.
Essential Purpose of this Position
Under the general supervision and guidance of the Engineering Manager or senior engineer to whom assigned, perform a variety of functions in the development and/or improvement of production methods, processes, machines, equipment, tooling and designs used in the manufacture of wire and cable products.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead small-scale process development and improvement initiatives
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical support for manufacturing processes
- Identify and propose improvement projects
- Demonstrate understanding of cable electrical performance
- Develop standardized documentation and conduct training
- Coordinate and execute trials in compliance with the plant's Quality System
- Design and perform equipment qualification trials
- Assist in maintaining process sheets, BOMs, and product builds
- Participate in plant improvement teams and events
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a Technical field
OR - Meets the qualifications of an Associate Engineer
- 6+ years of experience in wire and cable manufacturing
- No license or certification required
