Procurement Manager
Job Summary
A leading firm in the construction industry, specializing in large-scale civil infrastructure projects is looking to bring on a Procurement Manager to join their team and manage vendor and subcontractor solicitations and contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze project plans and specifications to identify procurement needs.
- Coordinate vendor and subcontractor solicitations during bidding and after award.
- Review project estimates to confirm scopes and budgets.
- Prepare comparison and leveling documents for vendor proposals.
- Negotiate pricing, scope, and contract terms with suppliers.
- Draft purchase agreements and subcontract scopes.
- Manage MWDBE outreach and maintain Good Faith Efforts documentation.
- Develop and monitor MWDBE utilization plans and reports in partnership with diversity teams.
- Process change orders and amendments, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
- Collaborate with estimating teams to obtain competitive pricing for bids.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction procurement.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and pre-bid solicitation.
- Proficiency with construction management and estimating software.
- Solid knowledge of contract law and strong negotiation skills.
- Ability to write clear, detailed scopes of work.
- Familiarity with MWDBE regulations for federally and state-funded projects.
