Plant Leader
Our Client, a leading aeropsace manufacturer is looking to bring on a Plant Leader near Grand Rapids, MI.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing team through meetings, coaching, staffing, and performance management.
- Provide clear, constructive feedback and maintain documentation for disciplinary actions.
- Ensure safety and compliance through training, orientation, and adherence to policies.
- Manage union relations and grievance processes.
- Analyze reports and resolve production, maintenance, and operational issues.
- Drive corrective actions to improve cost, quality, and schedule adherence.
- Ensure availability and understanding of tools, equipment, and support resources.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve equipment and processes.
- Promote safety and participate in inspections and audits.
- Implement cost-saving and efficiency-improving methods.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 5+ years in manufacturing or 1+ year in a supervisory role.
- 5+ years of leadership experience.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business.
- Experience in investment casting.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 6S.
- Technical understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Financial literacy.
