Indirect Procurement Buyer
Join a growing ingredients supplier that produces high-quality variegates, inclusions, and coatings used in ice cream and other desserts. As an Indirect Procurement Buyer, you'll support the professionalization of the procurement function and work directly with the Vice President of Supply Chain.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Indirect Purchasing (primary focus):
- Issue and track purchase orders for R&D lab supplies, office materials, IT equipment, and general operational items
- Manage vendor interactions including RFQs, delivery tracking, and follow-ups
- Ensure purchases align with budget and timeline requirements
- Raw Material Coordination:
- Place and monitor orders for selected raw materials
- Track shipments and support freight scheduling
- Partner with R&D to source new materials
- Operational Support:
- Coordinate routine freight schedules and carrier communications
- Manage materials transfers between facilities
- Submit and track QC extension requests
- Invoice and Receipt Handling:
- Reconcile invoices and receiving discrepancies
