Quality Engineer
A Fortune 500 leader in heavy manufacturing is seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join its operations team. Known for producing high-performance industrial equipment and components, this company is committed to safety, precision, and continuous improvement across its global facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality procedures in alignment with ISO 9001 standards.
- Support internal and external audits, including preparation, execution, and follow-up.
- Conduct root cause analysis and lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) efforts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
- Monitor and analyze quality metrics to identify trends and drive improvements.
- Maintain and update quality documentation, including control plans, work instructions, and inspection records.
- Train staff on quality procedures and ISO 9001 requirements.
- Participate in risk assessments and support quality planning for new products and processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a quality engineering role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and quality management systems.
- Experience with quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, 8D, and root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality software (e.g., Minitab, QMS platforms).
Preferred Qualifications
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification.
- Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing experience.
