Materials Manager
We are seeking a Materials Manager to join a leading semiconductor company. This role is critical in managing material flow, supplier performance, and inventory planning to ensure timely production and delivery. The ideal candidate will combine strong executional buying skills with strategic thinking to elevate the materials function and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory & Material Planning: Oversee material requirements planning to maintain optimal inventory levels and support production schedules.
- Supplier Management: Act as a primary liaison with suppliers, addressing delays, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
- Buying & Procurement: Execute purchase orders and manage procurement activities for raw materials and components.
- Process Improvement: Analyze supply chain bottlenecks and develop strategies to improve efficiency and reduce lead times.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations, engineering, and finance teams to align material availability with business objectives.
- Reporting & Metrics: Track KPIs related to supplier performance, inventory accuracy, and material availability.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience: 2-3 years in materials management, procurement, or inventory planning (semiconductor or manufacturing industry preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
