Our client is a global leader in the automotive sector, known for delivering high-performance components and systems to some of the world's top automotive brands. With a strong footprint across multiple continents, their Luxembourg site plays a critical role in procurement, production, and innovation. As they continue to grow, they are looking to expand their procurement team with a proactive and results-oriented Buyer.


Role Summary:

As a Buyer, you will play a vital role in supporting operational and strategic procurement activities. You will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, sourcing components, ensuring on-time deliveries, and contributing to cost optimisation across multiple vehicle programs. This is an excellent opportunity to join a global organisation with clear pathways for development and progression.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day purchasing activities including RFQs, PO placement, order tracking, and supplier follow-ups.

  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to understand material and component needs.

  • Identify and evaluate new suppliers, supporting cost, quality, and delivery objectives.

  • Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with both local and international suppliers.

  • Monitor supplier performance and maintain up-to-date records in the ERP system.

  • Participate in cost reduction and value engineering initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and industry standards.

  • Support strategic sourcing projects and contribute to cross-functional teams as needed.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 2-5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain, ideally in the automotive or manufacturing industry.

  • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytic skills.

  • Experience working with ERP systems (SAP experience is a plus).

  • Fluent in English; French and/or German are advantageous.

  • Proactive, organised, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, international environment
