Our client is a global leader in the automotive sector, known for delivering high-performance components and systems to some of the world's top automotive brands. With a strong footprint across multiple continents, their Luxembourg site plays a critical role in procurement, production, and innovation. As they continue to grow, they are looking to expand their procurement team with a proactive and results-oriented Buyer.
Role Summary:
As a Buyer, you will play a vital role in supporting operational and strategic procurement activities. You will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, sourcing components, ensuring on-time deliveries, and contributing to cost optimisation across multiple vehicle programs. Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day purchasing activities including RFQs, PO placement, order tracking, and supplier follow-ups.
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to understand material and component needs.
Identify and evaluate new suppliers, supporting cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with both local and international suppliers.
Monitor supplier performance and maintain up-to-date records in the ERP system.
Participate in cost reduction and value engineering initiatives.
Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and industry standards.
Support strategic sourcing projects and contribute to cross-functional teams as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
2-5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain, ideally in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
Strong negotiation, communication, and analytic skills.
Experience working with ERP systems (SAP experience is a plus).
Fluent in English; French and/or German are advantageous.
Proactive, organised, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, international environment
