C&I Application Director
A lead electrical equipment manufacturer is seeking a C&I Application Director to support customers across the Western region. This role focuses on delivering technical guidance and influence on engineering specifications and partnering closely with sales teams to drive successful projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with regional sales representatives and Territory Managers to support end users, consulting engineers, and contractors in the C&I market.
- Provide technical and application expertise during customer visits, presentations, and project discussions.
- Assist in developing and presenting targeted proposals for C&I projects.
- Build strong relationships with consulting engineers and other key project influencers.
- Help drive product specifications for within industrial design environments.
- Communicate competitive insights and proposal feedback to internal marketing and product teams.
- Offer first-level technical assistance during installation, commissioning, training, and equipment start-up.
- Track and manage RFIs and RFQs within the assigned region.
- Collaborate with sales teams on strategy
Qualifications
- Background in medium-voltage power systems or related equipment is a plus
- Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent technical experience).
- Ability to travel up to 50% within the region.
- Strong verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency with standard business applications; Salesforce experience preferred.
