DSJ Global is currently partnered with a leading Pharmaceutical Company who looking to expand its team with a Controls Automation Engineer. This candidate will be responsible for leading the execution of the site's Automation Strategy by providing expert process automation support,
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver automation projects that meet business goals for cost, quality, functionality, and timelines
- Provide hands-on support and strategic guidance in automation technologies, ensuring robust, compliant, and scalable solutions
- Provide technical expertise in several scientific and engineering automation areas including HMI,MES, SCADA and PLC
- Partner with Production, Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Technical teams to align automation strategies with operational needs
- Lead automation-related safety assessments and ensure adherence to GSK policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
- Use structured systems (e.g., standard work) to manage team priorities and individual responsibilities effectively
- Support the development of Quality Critical Attributes (QCA) and Process Critical Control Points (PCCP) to ensure stable, predictable operations
- Mentor engineers and end-users on automation systems and tools
- Serve as a subject matter expert during regulatory inspections and audits
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a Science or Engineering related discipline
- 5+ years experience delivering Automation technology within the pharmaceutical industry
- Hands-on programming PLCs (Siemens/Rockwell)and trouble-shooting skills for Automation, Instrumentation and IT systems
- Proven track record in providing automation support and maintenance for instrumentation, automation and controls
