A global leader in agricultural and chemical manufacturing is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead all engineering activities at its nitrogen fertilizer production facility. Known for its commitment to safety, sustainability, and innovation, the organization offers a collaborative environment where engineering leaders can drive strategic improvements across ammonia and urea manufacturing systems.
This role is based in the Greater Baton Rouge, Louisiana area with relocation support available for qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate all plant engineering activities to achieve safety, reliability, and production goals
- Manage and develop engineering teams while overseeing capital projects and resource planning
- Provide technical leadership for maintenance, troubleshooting, and turnaround planning
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards across all engineering work
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and guide Management of Change processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering
- 10+ years of experience in chemical or manufacturing environments
- Proven leadership in plant operations, team management, and project execution
- Strong background in process improvement and regulatory compliance
- Excellent communication skills across technical and operational teams
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
