Job Summary: The Plant Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations, ensuring the achievement of production goals, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires a seasoned site leader with a proven track record in turnaround situations and KPI enhancement. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in manufacturing, and preferably hold a Six Sigma Black Belt or have an engineering background.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality, and logistics.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product development and launch activities.
  • Manage and develop plant staff, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback.
  • Oversee budget preparation and financial performance, ensuring cost-effective operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in turnaround situations and KPI improvement.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in using manufacturing software and tools.
