Procurement Manager

We are partnering with a rapidly growing Renewable Energy company pin their search for a Procurement Manager who will lead sourcing and purchasing for critical components in large-scale solar and battery energy storage (BESS) projects. This role is responsible for developing category strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely, cost-effective procurement aligned with project objectives. The position collaborates closely with Finance, Engineering, and Construction teams to drive operational excellence and mitigate risk.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing

  • Develop and implement category strategies for inverters, high-voltage equipment, services, and other key components.
  • Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and cost benchmarks to guide sourcing decisions.
  • Manage RFQ/RFP processes and evaluate total cost of ownership.

Procurement Operations

  • Issue and monitor purchase orders, ensuring compliance with budgets and schedules.
  • Maintain and enforce procurement policies, procedures, and workflows.

Supplier Management

  • Conduct supplier due diligence, performance evaluations, and quarterly business reviews.
  • Resolve delivery and documentation issues while fostering strong vendor relationships.

Logistics & Compliance

  • Coordinate pre-construction logistics for assigned categories.
  • Ensure compliance with technical specifications, ESG requirements, quality, and safety standards.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Maintain procurement trackers and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide cost analysis and market intelligence to support strategic decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of procurement or supply chain experience in renewable energy.
  • Familiarity with PV modules, inverters, BESS, and related equipment preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel; ERP experience is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Experience using AI tools for research and analysis is a bonus.
