Quality Engineer Lead - Home Appliance - US market
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineering Lead to drive product quality, reliability, and continuous improvement for our Home Appliance portfolio serving the US market. In this strategic leadership role, you will oversee quality engineering activities from early product development through mass production, ensuring our appliances meet the highest safety, performance, and regulatory standards.
This position is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong engineering fundamentals, expertise in consumer products, and a passion for elevating customer satisfaction through data‑driven quality programs.
Job Responsibilities
Product Quality Leadership
- Lead the end‑to‑end quality engineering process for major home appliances (e.g., refrigerators, washers, dryers, air conditioners, kitchen appliances) targeted at the US market.
- Drive design quality, supplier quality, and manufacturing quality by establishing strong quality standards and engineering controls.
Cross‑Functional Technical Collaboration
- Partner with R&D, Product Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Customer Service teams to ensure product quality targets are met throughout the product lifecycle.
- Act as the primary technical quality interface between US market teams and global engineering centers.
Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
- Ensure all products meet US and North American regulatory requirements, including UL, ETL etc and safety/compliance standards.
- Own risk assessments, compliance verification, and certification processes.
Quality Systems & Data Analytics
- Lead root‑cause analysis (RCA), corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and continuous improvement projects.
- Analyze field performance, warranty data, and consumer feedback to identify quality trends and implement engineering countermeasures.
Supplier & Manufacturing Quality
- Oversee supplier quality performance, audits, and approval processes.
- Work closely with global factories to monitor production quality, testing protocols, and process control standards.
Team Leadership
- Mentor, guide, and develop a high‑performing quality engineering team.
- Build a culture of accountability, excellence, and customer‑first thinking
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any disciplines, engineering focus is desired.
- 7-10 years of quality engineering experience in home appliances and consumer electronics.
- Strong knowledge of US regulatory and compliance requirements such as UL etc.
- Demonstrated expertise and failure analysis tools.
- Proven success leading cross‑functional engineering initiatives.
