Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

Position Summary

Seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical systems design, maintenance, and optimization for our high-volume food and beverage manufacturing facility. This role ensures reliable, safe, and efficient operation of electrical infrastructure supporting production, packaging, and facility utilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain electrical schematics, layouts, and specifications for plant equipment and systems.
  • Lead installation and commissioning of new electrical systems, including automation and control upgrades.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting for electrical issues on production lines, PLCs, VFDs, and power distribution systems.
  • Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs for electrical assets.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with NFPA, NEC, and food industry safety standards.
  • Support audits and documentation for regulatory compliance (FDA, OSHA).
  • Manage electrical aspects of capital projects, including vendor coordination and budget oversight.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and energy consumption.
  • Mentor junior engineers and technicians on best practices and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, automation, quality) to support plant objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 7+ years in electrical engineering within manufacturing (food & beverage preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming, motor controls, and industrial automation.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software.
  • Familiarity with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or comparable control systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills.
  • Experience with high-speed packaging lines, process instrumentation, and energy management systems.
  • Knowledge of FDA/GMP requirements for food manufacturing environments.
