A manufacturing company is currently seeking an experienced professional for their Buyer position. Key Qualifications:
- 3-6 years minimum in manufacturing purchasing, heavy manufacturing preferred
- Bachelor's degree
- Previous experience with MRP/ERP systems
- The ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to drive tasks to completion
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and communicate accurate supplier forecasts
- Ensure suppliers are meeting quality, delivery, and cost performance objectives
- Effectively manage supplier relations to optimize their performance
- Work with Strategic Sourcing and Procurement to optimize cost and support the development of the organizations' supply chain
- Monitor and asses production requirements and plans, procurement system error signals, and maintain records for purchase orders, contracts, and suppliers in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures
