A leading industrial engineering company who specialise in providing engineering services and support for electronic and mechanical commodities for e-powertrains are looking to grow their procurement department due to increase in demand for their products due to the increase in e-powertrain manufacturing. They are a significant player inn electric mobility with global teams across Europe. They pride themselves on innovation and providing engineering solutions to all their clients.
Responsibilities:
- Create and execute selection and strategy planning processes
- Working directly with a variety of commodities such as software, testing equipment for prototyping and engineering services / Direct commodities
- Conduct supplier selection and management through continuous portfolio evaluations
- Negotiate purchasing contracts regarding Capex, Machinery, Tooling, MRO and engineering services
- Develop and implement time line for each commodity and create saving plans
- Create and implement supplier strategies
- Create and conduct price forecasts and market data analysis
- Support supplier escalations and resolve them appropriately
- Proactively support purchasing processes with RFI / RFQ / POs
- Create reports for internal stakeholder presentations and meetings
- Conduct continuous evaluations of suppliers/ commodities/ forecasts to achieve KPIs
- Work cross functionally across 4 main manufacturing categories in e-mobility and e-powertrain production
Your profile:
- Master's degree in a technical study - preferably engineering
- 5 plus year's experience in purchasing engineering services or direct commodities such as software
- Strong project management skills
- Creative and entrepreneurial mindset
- Fluent English and B2 German
