This is an exciting position in Procurement with a manufacturing company leading in thermal management. The innovative company going through mass growth and is now focusing in their direct procurement team. Currently looking for a commodity buyer - raw materials such as steel, cooper and aluminium based in Leeds, UK.
Responsibilities:
* Manage supplier relationships
* Develop and implement a sourcing strategy for specific commodities
* Manage the quotation process ensuring quotations are received on time
* Manage supplier pricing, negotiation, cost models and key cost drivers
* To be a constant driver for cost reduction, continuous improvement and innovation within the business
Experience:
* 5+ years of procurement experience
* 5+ years of purchasing raw materials experience
* HVAC industry
* Good negotiation, organisation skills
* Great interest in technical products and high technology
* A good leader and influencer
* Fluent in English
