Commodity Manager - Chemicals Category required for Leading Manufacturing Organization

A leading Manufacturing company located in the Raleigh/Durham area, is looking to hire an Commodity Manager - Chemicals for their expanding department. The Commodity Manager - Chemical is responsible for overseeing the spend in the Chemical Space
Responsibilities and Desired Experience:
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies and processes across the entire organization
- Work cross-functionally with other department to determine cost budgets
- Develop and maintain supplier relations
- Work with various indirect category related suppliers to help facilitate organizational needs
- Continually produce concise and achievable goals and objectives for vendors
- Engage with key stakeholders across multiple business units
- Identify process and cost savings opportunities
Requirements:
- 5-10 years of experience in procurement/sourcing management
- Bachelor's Degree (Masters/MBA is preferred)
- Manufacturing background preferred
- Chemical Procurement experience required
- Ability to negotiate contracts and establish vendor relations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Leadership and Management Experience
