We are working with a well-established German Life Sciences going through an expansion across Europe. They are looking for Country Head of Indirect Procurement to be based in Southern Ulm. This position will lead a team of 5 buyers across the country and help redefine the procurement strategy across hard and soft Indirects.
Responsibilities:
- Establish the regional purchasing policy in alignment with the Global Purchasing Policy.
- Managing all aspects of the relationship with suppliers to deliver reliable product & services supply
- Contributes to managing and optimise third party supplier
- Identify areas of improvement and launch related initiatives while liaising with Global Category Managers to identify key projects
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to gather feed-back on supplier performance and identify areas of improvement
Skills and Experience required:
- University degree and/or master in purchasing
- Minimum 5-8 years in managing a range of indirect purchasing activities, with experience in line management.
- English and German mandatory
- Strong analogical skills to identify savings opportunities
- Proven negotiation skills
- Comprehensive understanding of purchasing processes and knowledge of best practices for sourcing, supplier management and procure-to-pay
