Globally successful multi-billion dollar Consumer Goods organization is now looking to hire a new Director of Global Trade Compliance to help pioneer and implement new strategies to help continue the company's growth and propel the business to the next level of international success. This position will identify and reduce trade compliance risk, reduce compliance spend and simplify the trade compliance processes, together with leading and coaching a team of successful direct reports.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of 10 direct reports and oversee 30 colleagues
- Lead the Global Trade Compliance function for the business
- Develop, plan and implement a Program for Global Trade Compliance including training development and execution, mitigating plans, risk monitoring, development of KPIs and reporting on global trade regulation changes
- Monitor Global Trade Compliance Program from tactical and strategic levels
- Drive industry best practices to ensure business is operating as efficiently as possible
- Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Legal, Customer Service and Finance functions to further enforce Trade Compliance across the organization
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Bachelor's degree (ideally in an analytical subject)
- 8+ years Transportation experience managing 3rd party carriers
- Retail and/or Ecommerce industry experience
- Proven understanding of inbound/outbound shipping
- Strong knowledge of domestic & international transportation
- Proven cost saving accomplishments on resume
- Experience with high volume small parcel operations
- Can demonstrate solid cost saving accomplishments
