A leading global food production company is looking for a Director of Purchasing to join their team in Los Angeles, California. This position will direct, administer, and coordinate a large portion of the spend for the company, work cross-functionally with other teams, lead supplier selection and manage the department. Responsibilities for the Director of Purchasing include:
-Directing a large portion of the overall spend of the entire company
-International sourcing management
-Overseeing 2 direct reports
-Working cross-functionally with R&D and other teams
-Leading supplier selection and negotiating contracts
-Supplier management and project management responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have:
-Strong vendor contract relationship and negotiating experience
-Approximately 4 years in international sourcing experience
-7+ years of sourcing preferred
-Bachelor's degree preferred
-Someone who wants to grow within the organization
