A Fortune 100 Chemical Company, located in New Jersey, is now looking to hire a new Director of Raw Materials Procurement who will spearhead the organizations raw material procurement transformation. This individual will be responsible for creating synergies across the professional services procurement group and setting "best in class" sourcing strategy for the team.
Key Responsibilities of the Director of Raw Materials Procurement:
- Evaluating Corporate Services Spend and implementing strategy for optimal savings and processes
- Engage with and develop buy in with executive stakeholders across the business
- Develop and manage efforts in sourcing and direct procurement
- Subject Matter Expertise in common chemicals, additives, and active ingredients
- Competitively bid and negotiate pricing and terms for managed categories
- Will lead and manage 8 direct reports
- Effectively manage $650M in spending across partnerships with vendors
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business
- Immense experience in Direct procurement and Category leadership in a chemical company
- Hands-on, entrepreneurial leadership style within a fast-paced environment
- Proven track record of leading strategic sourcing initiatives
