Supply Chain Manager

Our client, an Electrical Manufacturer is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to come in an help build the supply chain department from the ground up! The supply chain Manager will have responsibility for developing the strategic development and direction of the supply chain and support the production operations. They will also have oversight of the procurement function and responsibility for the Buyers and Planners that report into the Supply Chain Manager.
Overall, the ideal candidate will have end to end supply chain experience, ideally with a deep knowledge in electrical manufacturing. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to put forward creative solutions for developing the supply chain and managing vendor relationships.
The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for:
- Continuously improve inventory days, including implementing a strategy to absorb increase/decrease in customer volume without impact to ongoing operations. Optimizes / minimizes plant-wide inventory with proper safety stock.
- Direct reports - up to 5
- Manage the daily operations of inventory planning and procurement areas in the development and execution of short- and long-range production and purchasing plans for raw materials, packaging materials, and work in process
- Works with planners and the sales forecasting team to ensure accuracy of demand plan and subsequent production and purchasing plans
The Supply Chain Manager will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree - Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or other relevant fields
- 8+ years of experience in supply chain
- Certifications in APICS preferred
- Experience in the Electrical Manufacturing industry
- Experience with Epicor erp preferred
