A Global Leader in Chemicals manufacturing industry is seeking a EHS Manager to join their team in the Greater Dallas, Texas area. This ideal candidate would be someone with extensive experience in Environmental, Health and Safety who wants to use their background to ensure safety standards become the forefront of the company. This person must contain strong problem-solving abilities and leadership potential
The Environmental Health & Safety Manager responsibilities include:
- Ensure all safety measures are met
- Utilize leadership skills to influence safety throughout the facility
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, federal (OSHA) regulations
- Support plants yearly goals
- Conduct a comprehensive system to ensure injuries are prevented
- Analyze the metrics of safety while reviewing the weekly and monthly incidents
- Assess the risk of potential hazards
- Manage the incident investigation program and ensure all corrective actions are thoroughly implemented
- Ability to Implement 5S and SH&E TPM Pillar, BBS, and safety committees.
- Conduct Audits to ensure any injury is addressed and later prevented
The Environmental Health & Safety Manager requirements include:
- 5+ years EHS experience
- Chemical industry experience preferred
- Proven leadership experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- Functional knowledge of OSHA guidelines and best practices
- Experience in a cGMP manufacturing environment strongly preferred
- Experience developing, implementing and upholding operational KPIs and best practices to ensure maximum safety in the facility
- EHS certifications preferred (CIH, CEM, CHMM, CSP)
- Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations
- Knowledge with state regulations preferred
- Ability to lead
