I am working with a 1,000 FMCG company going through a procurement transformation in Stuttgart.
Their plan so to change from a site based, to regional category management procurement model, as the looking to modernise procurement. They are seeking a strong, regional Indirect Category Manager to help set up the indirect procurement strategy across Europe.
Initially, the positions will be sole contributing managing a spend of €40-50m. However, there is the scope to hire a number of strategic buyers in the future to support on the category spend. You will be working closely with the global procurement group in Amsterdam, and local site managers to understand their needs and create a best in class structure.
Ideally the client is looking for a candidate that speaks fluent English (German is preferred but not required); with 5-10 year experiences across multiple indirect categories; has willing to travel to around 30%; and want to work in an autonomous environment.
