Responsibilities:
* The global commodity buyer is a critical part of the development process and is responsible for all procurement activities associated with metallic, mechanical, machinery parts among others
* Conduct and execute global procurement market analysis
* Identify, define and implement strategies with the technical, quality, R&D and engineering team with regards to cost optimisation and supplier coordination
* Conduct supplier selection processes and evaluations with the integration of a modern software and specialist team
* Create tender implementation progression tracker and implement awards
* Lead and negotiate prices and contracts with international suppliers and services
* Optimise the existing supplier network by conducting supplier evaluations and analysis
* Consistently implement strategies to optimise quality and create cost efficiency
* Conduct internal value and cost analysis cross departmentally with all suppliers
Skills and Experience Required
* Fluent English and B2 Dutch
* Bachelor's Degree minimum - preferably in mechanical engineering or any technical studies
* 3 plus years experience purchasing
* Excellent communication skills
* Willingness to travel 20% to visit suppliers
