This client, a leading Tier-1 Automotive supplier of passenger and commercial driving solutions, are currently hiring for a new Head of Supplier Quality to manage the entire European function across the BU. With exciting new product developments utilising more sophisticated e-components and electronic control systems, this professionally will have the opportunity to strategically shape a growing supplier-base, while driving optimisation across the existing supply-chain.
The role:
- Responsibility for defining and implementing all European Supplier Quality Strategy for the BU
- Manage entire European Supplier Quality team (approximately 25 people) across 7 Production Sites
- Oversee project development phase + new product launches (ensuring successful implementation for APQP & PPAP)
- Monitor KPIs across global supplier base through new product launch and serial production
- Voice of Supplier Quality cross functionally - supporting commercial strategy decision-making
- Support the professional development of SQEs regionally
- Maintain & improve SCM processes and documentation control
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Technical or Commercial Education background
- Strong professional Supplier Quality experience within manufacturing industry
- Automotive background is preferred, but open to other industries Expertise in specific manufacturing process (Die-casting, Extrusion etc., Knowledge in related Quality field (IATF, VDA)
- Experience driving change management at least at a Regional level
- Ability to successfully manage large teams, fostering a passionate, high-performing environment
- Fluent English and German required
