Maintenance Manager - Biotechnology

Summary: An established biotechnology company is looking for a maintenance professional to lead company-wide maintenance planning and execution. The ideal candidate will be able to offer direction to employees to maximize efficiency and performance throughout the facility. Challenges associated with this role will best be solved using technical understanding and exceptional problem-solving skills. This role will be carried out in the San Francisco facility.
The Maintenance Manager will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in the Biotech/Pharmaceutical or heavy regulated industrial environments
- Have a Process/Continuous Improvement based mindset when completing tasks/projects
- Ability to function in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements
- Extensive experience with cGMP standards
- Working knowledge of EHS, FDA and other regulatory standards
- Reliability and metrology experience preferred
- Working knowledge of OSHA safety requirements, GMP'S and ISO 13485 preferred
- LEAN/Six Sigma Certifications a plus
- Experience leading maintenance procedures in a heavily regulated environment
- Experience implementing TPM in the facility
The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for:
- Implement an efficient and long-lasting Preventive Maintenance System
- Establish goals/objectives for both the professional and technical teams to achieve
- Train and coach team members to ensure equipment is properly handled and maintained
- Follow and carry out company polices/regulations relevant to purchasing, internal controls, and other subjects
- Manage CMMS and Maintenance related projects
- Review and maintain any CMMS system changes
- Manage facilities GMP standards and procedures in CMMS
