Materials & Demand Planning Manager - Chemicals Industry

- Working situation: Hybrid Model - 3 days a week in office
- Level: Manager - with direct reports
An international and publicly held chemicals organization is looking for a Materials & Demand Planning Manager to implement demand plans and key into market impacts.
The Materials & Demand Planning Manager is responsible for leading the on-time delivery improvement efforts around direct short lead time and identifying any gaps in the processes. The Materials & Planning Manager will also be working regionally to own the pre-S&OP process for the Americas region.
The Materials & Demand Planning Manager will have the following responsibilities:
- Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or optimize materials' availability
- Be a key partner and help drive the monthly S&OP process when working cross functionally with groups to improve demand planning and forecasting accuracy
- Create the demand planning policies and procedures for the rolling 12 month forecast
- Establish goals, monitor and manage performance related to KPIs
- Write and/or revise SOPs in accordance with ISO standards
- Train and develop employees with working in the ERP system (SAP)
The ideal Materials & Demand Planning Manager will have the following skill set:
- Bachelor's Degree in science, engineering, or related fields
- 4+ years' minimum of front end supply chain experience
- Experience in a process manufacturing industry
- SAP experience (needed) & APO Module experience (highly desired)
