Responsibilities:
As the Plant Manager, you will be at the helm of driving operational excellence and fostering a culture of achievement. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading end-to-end facility operations, from raw material receipt to finished product shipment
- Enforcing production scheduling, inventory control, operating rate, fiber recovery, and financial performance targets
- Ensuring alignment with business vision and maintaining high standards of workplace safety and environmental compliance
- Cultivating a culture of ownership and waste reduction
- Upholding compliance with company policies and applicable laws
- Establishing productive relationships with support capabilities' peers
What We're Looking for:
- Over 10 years of operational leadership experience, with a strong background in manufacturing processes, operations excellence, maintenance, and continuous improvement
- A proven track record of driving positive change and profitability within an organization
- Familiarity with budgeting, expense management, and basic financial principles
- Experience in team building and talent development initiatives
- Proficiency in managing large capital projects
- Strong understanding of wood products industry
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering or Wood Science
- Progressive leadership experience in wood products facility roles such as Plant Manager, Production Manager, Superintendent, Reliability or Maintenance Manager, or equivalent
- Experience in continuous improvement project management
- Previous engagement in the Wood Products Industry
