Our client: is seeking an experienced and motivated Ocean Bulk Specialist to manage and optimize bulk shipping operations, with a strong focus on inside sales and pricing. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in logistics, excellent sales skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee ocean bulk shipments from origin to destination.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients to drive inside sales.
- Negotiate contracts and rates with shipping lines and other service providers.
- Prepare and present pricing proposals to clients.
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and company policies.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to meet customer demands.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Analyse shipping data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in ocean bulk shipping, inside sales, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations and practices.
- Excellent negotiation, sales, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
