Company Summary: A global manufacturer and retailer is seeking a Procurement Manager to join their exciting and growing team. You would be responsible for leading strategic initiatives for the indirect spend categories. You would be reporting directly into the Director of Global Procurement. The Procurement Manager will be responsible for:
- Solid understanding of indirect spend categories
- Strong understanding of multi-step strategic sourcing
- Developing and issuing RFP's for price discovery and vendor analysis
- Negotiating pricing and contracts with suppliers
- Deliver operating and capital expenditure savings as well as mitigate price increases
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date contract and spend database
- Manage supplier relationships and measure performance
- Travel domestically and internationally (approximately 20-25%)
The Procurement Manager should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Business, Math, Finance, Supply Chain, Economics or Engineering
- CPM / CPSM or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in procurement
- Aptitude for quantitative analysis
- Strong Excel skills
- Strong understanding of procurement
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
