Company Summary:
A meat supplier in Wisconsin is looking for a new Quality and Food Safety Manager to join their team! This is a business whose history exceeds 75+ years and have been proudly serving homes across the US for generations. This position will oversee daily activities as they relate to quality and food safety out of a new, state-of-the-art facility!
The Quality & Food Safety Manager will be responsible for:
- Quality, food safety, compliance, and inspection ensuring all food products are meeting necessary standards
- Maintaining the company's food safety & quality goals and objectives
- Leading and managing all associated pre-requisite programs relating to BRC audit standards while ensuring successful audit certification
- Report into the Director of Quality & Food Safety and oversee the quality and food safety departments comprised of three direct reports and four indirect reports
- Ensure QA/ Food Safety activities are linked with business objectives and meet all USDA, FDA, GFSI, SQF, and BRC standards/regulations
The Quality & Food Safety Manager should have the following qualifications:
- Background working with USDA, FDA, and other local, state and federal regulatory agencies as it relates to the food & beverage industry
- Familiarity and experience with GFSI & BRC auditing
- Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of related experience in the food & beverage industry
- 2+ years of management experience in Q&FS
