The role of QA Supervisor will be responsible for leading and coordinating all activities of QA Technicians and Sanitation departments while providing technical guidance and support to production departments for continuous improvement of product processes and services.
Responsibilities include but may not be limited to the following:
- Inspection of production floor including HACCP and quality checks are performed
- Addressing all GMP violations with both production management and team members
- Review of QA books: Pest Control, Hold, Receiving, Cure Log, etcโฆ
- Organize customer and retained sampling program
- Train and develop all new and current QA technicians
- Select products for testing, perform weight control checks, assist with micro sampling testing and conduct HACCP and quality checks and documentation
- Holds monthly safety committee meetings and reviews all safety concerns
- Audits the plant for compliance with USDA regulations and review for compliance with GMP's
The Ideal Candidate will have the Following Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science or relevant discipline or equivalent related experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment in a USDA environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus
- Experience with HACCP and GMP's
- Knowledge of food hygiene and sanitation processes
