Quality Engineer needed for Leading Automotive Manufacturing Firm

One of the nation's premiere automotive manufacturing firms is looking for a Quality Engineer to become a part of the Quality team.
This Quality Engineer will contribute to on-site projects leading root cause investigations and corrective actions. The candidate will report directly to the Corporate Quality Leader and will play a critical role in leveraging their strong quality engineering background to ensure product compliance
The Quality Engineer will have the following responsibilities:
ยท Identify production issues on-site
ยท Devise solutions to fix and augment existing issues
ยท Conduct design reviews and Acceptance tests
ยท Ensure compliance with ISO9001 standards
ยท Conduct root cause investigations related to ISO9001 and other industry compliance standards, PFMEA, Capability Studies
ยท Oversee and detail quality performance of the companies
ยท Develop process improvement initiatives to implement
ยท Conducts audits where CAPA initiatives are necessary
The ideal candidate will have the following skill set:
ยท Degree in engineering or a related field
ยท 3+ years of quality engineering experience
ยท Previous experience in a heavy manufacturing / assembly environment
ยท Excellent communication skills
ยท Experience solving manufacturing-based problems
ยท Six Sigma Green Belt Certified
ยท ASQ certification preferred
ยท Experience with ISO9001 standards
