Summary:
The Quality Manager - Will implement, maintain, and continuously improve the company's quality tools, techniques, and systems.
The Quality Manager - should have the following skill set:
- Degree in Engineering or related discipline
- 3-5 years of experience in one or more related engineering areas such as industrial, production, reliability, or design
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience working in manufacturing environment
- Skilled in Advanced Quality tools such as Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA), Control Plans, Gage R&R Studies, GD&T, SPC, Root Cause Analysis, and Mistake Proofing/Poke-a-yoke
- Knowledge of quality standards and ISO requirements and procedures
- Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in leading an organization through ISO audit process (surveillance and re-certification)
- Demonstrated knowledge and utilization of material / part conformance
- Ability to identify problems or technical issues and apply sound judgment
- Solid mechanical/engineering and process engineering knowledge, able to partner in business negotiations for quality-related pricing, commercial terms and conditions
The Quality Manager - will:
- Understand every aspect of the plant's operations (from receiving to material handling to manufacturing to packaging to shipping) and maintain all workflow processes for each product line
- Improve and maintain the quality management system, process, and techniques
- Drive continual improvement through data collection and analysis, project selection, corrective and preventative actions, documenting processes and changes and educating affected personnel
- Assure internal and external requirements are met within the framework of our ISO 9001QMS system
- Maintain and ensure adherence to Engineering Change Request process
- Prepare management level presentations and quality indicator reports
- Lead quality training
- Lead problem solving teams
- Consultation on quality tools, quality software, and quality systems
- Plan and direct quality activities for incoming, in process, outgoing and new product development
- Ensure nonconforming product is documented on a "real time" basis and issues are communicated in a timely matter to drive for resolution
- Document processes and techniques and make changes to them through the document control system
