Quality Manager - Food and Beverage Manufacturing

Summary:
This large food manufacturing company is looking for someone to lead the Quality team in their Indianapolis area facility. The ideal candidate will have the ability to lead, coach, and mentor the Quality employees so that the food safety program runs efficiently and easily. The Quality Manager will act as the coordinator for all HACCP/Food Safety procedures at the site. The Quality Manager must complete risk analyses and monitor plant activity to confirming the following of GMPs as well as FSQA requirements.
The Quality Manager Will:
- Will lead and organize all things related to audits including third-party, regulatory, and certifications
- Support initiatives related to R&D and ensure necessary documentation is in place and standards are met
- Lead the investigation of analysis of complaints and other events related to quality and food safety
- Lead site continuous improvement initiatives at the plant
- Monitor the pest control program and work closely with third-party pest control service provider
- Develop training materials and ensure 100% completion of food safety trainings
The Quality Manager Should Have the Following Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (required), preferably in a Food Science/Microbiology related field
- Prior food industry experience for three years minimum (Required)
- Minimum two years of supervisory experience
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong teambuilding skills
- Computer application skills such as Word, Excel, and others
