Responsibilities
- Develop procedures and design systems to help protect employees from illness and injury
- Supervise project safety personnel
- Monitor conditions of the site
- Implement best practices
- Apply knowledge of current helath and safety policies/regulations
- Identify/correct potential hazards through inspection of facilities and safety equipment
- Review plans for new equipment in accordance with safety requirements
- Review employee safety programs and adjust as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of relative experience
- Extensive regulatory knowledge in federal, state and local regulations
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to train others in OSHA
- Organizational skills including logistics and time management
- Creative and driven to problem solve
- Technical skills
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing conditions/regulations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
