Position Overview: As a Sales Manager for Air and Sea Freight Forwarding, you will play a pivotal role in driving our business forward. You will be responsible for expanding the customer base, managing key client relationships, and promoting the air and sea freight services to clients in Germany. This role requires a strong sales acumen, a deep understanding of the logistics industry, and a passion for building and nurturing client partnerships.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets for air and sea freight services.
- Identify and target potential clients, nurturing leads from inception to closure.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate closely with the operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and market developments to identify growth opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with clients.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular reports to management.
- Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven track record in sales within the freight forwarding or logistics industry, with a minimum of 4 years of experience.
- Strong understanding of air and sea freight services.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluent in German and English; additional languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
