Summary This company is an emerging Biotechnology company that is focused on solving critical needs in healthcare diagnostics to save lives, as well as lower cost of healthcare. This company's innovated technology and incredible leadership team has separated them from their competitors. The Senior Buyer will report directly to the Senior Manager, Supply Chain. This position is a full-time office based position located in the Greater Boston area.
The Senior Buyer, Reagents will be responsible for:
- Effectively manage supplier performance to meet cost and quality objectives.
- Partner with manufacturing team to ensure all material requirements are met.
- Develop strong relationships with the companies' supply chain partners to achieve defect free, on-time materials deliveries.
- Negotiates with vendors to secure the best pricing, payment, and shipping terms.
- Partner with manufacturing team to ensure all material requirements are met.
- Support production and R&D purchase requirements through the purchase requisitions process.
- Support the MRO process with focus on exceptional service to internal customers.
The Senior Buyer, Reagents should have the following qualifications:
- 10 - 15 years purchasing experience within an ISO and FDA environment.
- Strong buying experience with both medical device consumables and/or reagent products for diagnostic testing.
- Experience working within an ERP or MRP - Oracle is preferred.
- Proven successful implementation of lean initiatives.
- Experience with diagnostic testing reagent manufacturing related components, such as oligo's, sterile solutions, and other critical components.
