A fast-growing retail company is looking for a Senior Logistics Manager to help lead to help lead the domestic side of their logistics team. The Senior Logistics Manager needs a combination of technical skills (listed below) as well as strong leadership and team building experience. This role would report directly to the Director of Inbound Transportation.
Qualifications:
- In-depth logistics strategy, distribution network strategy, and distribution operations improvement experience
- Logistics Systems (ERP, TMS, WMS) experience
- Computer skills: proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access
- Strong verbal & written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills that drive prioritising and multi-tasking to meet deadlines
- Lean Six Sigma or Project Management (PMP) certification preferred
- Bachelor's Degree required (Master's Degree preferred)
Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, transportation, distribution, or warehouse operations
- 5+ years of leadership and team building experience
- 5+ years of experience in managing a P&L
Responsibilities:
- Drives logistics strategy using data analytics
- Evaluates and creates an effective balance on service levels and cost to serve in logistics
- Utilizes specific knowledge of the logistics market and trends to identify areas for cost reductions and saving opportunities
- Work cross-functional across teams to ensure greater leverage of system efficiencies via the TMS
- Oversees the performance and execution of the Domestic Logistics Inbound team
- Drives analytics efforts and KPI development for domestic logistics
