Company Summary:
A leading global manufacturer of electrical power services and equipment is looking to bring on an experienced Strategic Sourcing Manager to fill a key role within the growing Sourcing Team. This company has been experiencing exponential growth, and is looking to evaluate their current supply base to transform and implement new sourcing strategies for first materials. This role will come with high visibility, working directly with the VP and Senior Manager of Global Sourcing, in developing long-term strategy, New Product Development, and identifying relationships with global industry-leading suppliers. This position has the opportunity to grow and develop within the company, as well as offers remote flexibility!
The Sourcing Manager will be responsible for:
- Creating and executing fully integrated long-term sourcing strategies around best cost, quality, and delivery
- Leading supplier negotiations and selection across respective categories such as electronics and mechanical commodities
- Facilitating supplier performance reviews and ensuring they are meeting expectations
- Lead project teams and collaborate with internal stakeholders across engineering, quality, and analytics
- Risk mitigation of the supply base of their category
The Sourcing Manager should have the following qualifications:
- Experience with risk mitigation and methodology of a global supply base
- Experience with strategic sourcing transformation and implementation
- Bachelor's degree (MBA, current CSM/CPSM or APICS CSCP certification a Plus)
- Experience or technical degree within electronics and/or engineering preferred
- Candidates must be willing and able to travel on an occasional basis to Chicago for project meetings and/or supplier visits
