Title: Sr. Demand Planning Analyst
Location: Madison Heights, MI
The Sr. Demand Planning Analyst will be responsible for:
- Develops tactical, 4-18 month, Sales forecasts based on analysis of volume trends, marketing and sales plans, and general market conditions using various technical tools for data extraction, manipulation, and extrapolation.
- Manages forecast error at the SKU/Account level. Demonstrates leadership in business analysis activities to form better product and market knowledge to deliver improved forecast accuracy.
- Analyze performance and trends, Measure MAPE & bias, clearly articulate business drivers behind the forecast, identify opportunities and risks, and proactively communicate to cross-functional teams
- Maintains the modeling parameters within Demand Planning software tool to generate the most accurate forecast while leveraging a proper mix between statistical data and market intelligence.
The Sr. Demand Planning Analyst should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in operations management, mathematics/statistics, business administration (accounting or finance) plus 5 years' experience in forecasting, operations, supply chain, accounting, finance analytical, or sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
- Food/Beverage Experience or CPG experience
- Experience leading in a Sales & Operations Planning process
- Experience in Sage ERP demand planning tool at an intermediate level
Sales & Operations Planning
- Create and Lead the S&OP and Demand Meeting processes. This includes providing insights to program lifts, program effectiveness, and other market intelligence. Tracks new products, launching distributions and velocity movement.
