Title: Supply Chain Leader
Location: Dallas, TX
Summary:
This company was founded 30+ years ago and is a leading contract manufacturer in the EMS space. They serve as an outsourced solution and work in 3 different verticals - Aerospace, Medical Device and Technology. They generate $1B in revenue and have roughly 4,400 employees across 10 manufacturing facilities, 2 design centers and 1 rapid prototyping center. They also have more than 200 OEM customers. This company provides expert design, manufacturing, supply chain, and order fulfilment solutions.
They are seeking a Supply Chain Leader to join their Dallas, TX team. The Supply Chain Leader will develop, implement, and monitor processes to optimize the supply chain and material processes for the Business Unit. This individual will take a lead role in interfacing with our strategic suppliers and leveraging the relationships for continuous improvement of inventory velocity and product costing.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Coach and mentor a team of dedicated Materials, Planning, Procurement, Shipping and Receiving Staff
- Implement a framework for best practices in supply chain and inventory management that drive results for on hand values, cost down initiatives, and turns
- Support corporate strategic initiatives
- Approve and monitor cycle count process / results
- Step in and support team members as necessary (new customer introductions, other large or complex projects)
- Participate as a member of the Business Unit Leadership Team
- Build positive relationships with both internal and external customers
- Manage Supplier relationships and as applicable participate in broader discussions with key strategic suppliers. This may include dealing with various issues, initiating / resolution of Supplier Corrective Actions, and Supplier Audits
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management / Operations. Minimum 10 years Supply Chain / Materials Management experience including at least 5 years supervisory experience.
- Experience should include the areas of MRP planning, strategic & tactical purchasing, all facets of inventory management, as well as the required P&L financial acumen to manage business objectives.
- Ability to obtain results through people within your scope of responsibility as well as those outside your scope of responsibility
- Experience in the EMS industry is a preferred asset although not mandatory.
- Practical industry experience in a multi-location environment (preferably in a complex manufacturing setting)
- Knowledge of "Lean Manufacturing". Experience with rapid change models such as Kaizen
