Technical Director - Chemicals Industry

Our client, a global speciality chemical manufacturer with a diverse portfolio, is looking for a Technical Director to join their leadership team at their newest site within the Greater Atlanta area!
The successful candidate will have oversight and scope for the lab functions, process & mechanical engineering operations at the site (prior engineering or chemical engineering background highly desired). Ultimately, this individual is responsible for ensuring safe and profitable operations, quality products and exceptional service to customers and is responsible for going above and beyond to establish continuous improvement objectives from conception to execution.
The Technical Director - Chemicals Industry will:
- Lead and drive plant safety culture and put safety first in all responsibilities
- Run operations to meet or exceed delivery performance and customer service objectives for product or projects
- Ensure that all production areas have the processes, equipment, and adequately trained staff to support the continuing growth goals of the company and meet customer demand
- Consistently promote and support best practices involving work methods (lead methodology), technology, and operational systems to remain innovative and to maintain and/or increase quality of production methods and final product quality
- Oversee ERP/SAP implementation at assigned facility in accordance with roadmap and established timelines as well as ensuring adherence to established procedures
- Recommend, plan, monitor and support capital improvements across all plants to ensure adherence to short and long term goals
- Ensure proper action planning for driving employee engagement at assigned facility
The Technical Director - Chemicals Industry has the following qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in managing a cGMP manufacturing plant operation required
- 10+ years of related experience in heavily regulated industry
- Bachelor's Degree required (Master's Preferred)
- OSHA and safety certifications highly preferred
