Job Summary and Qualifications

This leadership role is responsible for setting strategic direction and managing sourcing activities related to facility operations, construction, and energy procurement. The position oversees supplier agreements for natural gas, electricity, and related services, with a focus on cost reduction, risk management, and value creation.

The role requires a strong background in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management. The successful candidate will lead a team that interfaces with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers, driving initiatives that support operational efficiency and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to ensure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms.
  • Lead and manage a high-performing sourcing team, providing direction, training, and motivation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, legal, operations, and executive leadership.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to align sourcing initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Support business development and client engagement efforts.
  • Drive innovation in sourcing practices and develop new client-focused solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and ethical standards.
  • Oversee complex sourcing projects and special initiatives.
  • Promote diversity and sustainability in supplier selection and contracting.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in strategic sourcing, with a focus on energy and facility services.
  • Proven leadership experience managing sourcing teams and complex contract negotiations.
  • Strong understanding of facility design, construction, maintenance, and operations.
  • Experience working with facility managers, engineers, architects, and contractors.
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices (e.g., emissions, water, waste reduction).
  • Familiarity with energy markets, commodity trading, and utility regulation.
  • Expertise in financial analysis and risk management related to contracting.
  • Professional engineering license is a plus.
