Location: Lexington, KY
Compensation: $100,000 - $130,000
About the Opportunity
This is a great chance to join a leading specialty chemicals manufacturer that produces solvents, intermediates, specialty fuels, and other custom products. Our teams work like a family, focused on improving quality, cost, lead time, flexibility, and customer service every day. In this role, you'll manage and optimize reactor operations to meet production, quality, and inventory goals while supporting a long-standing tolling partnership.
What You'll Do
- Oversee daily plant operations and troubleshoot issues.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and all safety standards.
- Lead PHA action items and incident investigations.
- Act as the technical point of contact for a key customer.
- Track performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
- Maintain ISO-compliant procedures and documentation.
- Support projects that improve reliability, safety, and cost efficiency.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
- 5+ years in chemical manufacturing or production engineering.
- Comfortable with customer interaction and hands-on operations.
- Experience with batch or continuous processes; Lean Six Sigma and PSM a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- MS Office proficiency; SAP and DeltaV/Provox experience preferred.
